A deer recently decided it wanted to check out what high school was like in New Jersey.
A student captured some video of the young deer trapped in the Ramapo High School entryway in Franklin Lakes in October.

While it sounds like a setup for a joke, being trapped was no joke for the deer.
As you can see in the clip, it is quite scared and confused. Obviously it’s tired and disoriented, and never wants to go to school again (like some students that day, most likely).
Fortunately, the animal was able to get out of the school (without a pass, however). It escaped with what officials assume were minor injuries.
It had a little blood on its mouth, most likely from running into the walls.
Maybe it was trying to avoid hunters—and then realized it had made a terrible mistake.
