Deer Fawn in Heavy Floodwaters Gets a Helping Hand

A swollen creek is no place for a deer fawn. Luckily, a kind stranger lent a helping hand.

Floodwaters can wreak havoc on native wildlife. And if you are a newborn deer fawn, they pretty much amount to a life or death struggle. As you’ll see, a swollen creek is carrying this fawn away. With Mom nowhere in sight, it’s sink or swim.

Enter a hero. This stranger bravely jumps into the water to lend a helping hand, and most likely saved the life of this deer.

Who doesn’t love a great rescue video? As outdoors people, animals have a way of bringing out the best in us. They definitely did in this guy. (By the looks of things, he also has good taste in a hockey team!)

And the little fawn’s bleats – although made due to distress – sure are darn cute to hear!
