Multiple sighting of dozens of dead bass cause concern on Kentucky Lake after large bass tournament is held at Paris Landing.

Concerned locals post on Facebook when numerous dead bass wash up on shore after a bass fishing tournament. Things got heated as folks jumped in to accuse and defend tournament bass fishing procedures. A firestorm of comments from both sides are blowing up the post.

Approximately 400 boats weighed in over 3,800 pounds of fish at the annual Triton Owners Tournament. Locals photograph dead bass along shoreline, some counting up to 43 in one area alone.

Participants in the tournament claim everything was handled well at the weigh in but rough conditions could have caused damage to the fish in route.

Others claim hot weather and long weigh-in times have long term damage causing the die off. No matter who or what is to blame, everyone agrees it is a sad waste of a natural edible resource.

No reports of investigations by the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency.
