CWD Detected Closer to Yellowstone Than Ever Before

Officials have determined the spread of CWD has reached unheard-of lengths.

The Wyoming Game and Fish Department alerted the public to a discovery of a deer that tested positive for Chronic Wasting Disease in hunt area 112.

This marks the closest the 100% fatal cervid disease has ever gotten to Yellowstone National Park.

The whitetail infected with CWD was killed November 1 close to the Shoshone River, southwest of Cody, Wyoming.
