Cougar Family Out for a Stroll Captured with Washington Trail Camera

The secretive cougar is an animal rarely seen. Lucky for us, this trail camera captured five out for a snowy midnight stroll.

The cougar, also known as a mountain lion, is the fourth-largest cat and has the greatest home range of any wild land mammal in the Americas. Being secretive and largely solitary, however, it is rarely seen.

Robin McCord Harina, from Colville, Washington, had a StealthCam trail camera mounted alongside a plowed lane or drive. We can only imagine her surprise upon reviewing the footage taken in the early hours of January 12.

The video appears to show a mother and her four youngsters, leisurely out for a snowy midnight stroll. Talk about the ultimate in trail camera captures!

Harina summed it up best when she uploaded the video to her Facebook page, by captioning it the “Best Video Ever…..Probably Once in a Lifetime!”

We wholeheartedly agree.
