Brockport police officers had their hands full when a rogue squirrel looking for some leftover Christmas cookies turned on them!

Things took a hilarious turn when Brockport, New York police officers Joshua Sime and Tyler Dawson arrived to investigate the case of a hungry squirrel that had invaded a village residence.

The Brockport Police Department Facebook page shared this hysterical video, noting that “Brockport Police will always go the extra mile to help their residents.”

Here’s one rogue squirrel that just wanted a cookie:

On December 29th, 2017 Brockport Police were called to a residence for a squirrel that had broken into the house, reportedly eating cookies in the kitchen. Officers Sime and Dawson arrived on scene but were not at all expecting the warm welcome they would receive from the squirrel. The squirrel was ultimately captured by officers and released without injury. The homeowner was very relieved that their uninvited guest was set free. Not only that, but it seems that crazy critter was the one responsible for turning on the music, too!

The two officers finally got their suspect, and the furry tree varmint returned to the woods.

We’d like to give a big thanks to the Brockport Police Department for sharing this priceless video!
