A cop car got in between a bull elk and his lady so the elk decided to assert his dominance and ram the offending vehicle.
A police office in Jefferson County, Colorado, was writing a ticket near a field of elk cows.
A nearby bull elk apparently saw the patrol car as a threat and decided that it needed to prove its dominance.
That’s when it charged the car with the police officer inside.
The elk rammed the car, leaving a sizable dent above the tire. The officer turned on his lights and siren and the elk eventually sauntered off to join his ladies.
Elk mating season is upon us, meaning that elk will be more aggressive. The Colorado DNR and the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office warn elk admirers to keep their distance.
