Police in Colorado Springs saved a bear cub that got its head stuck in a protein powder container.

A lucky bear cub got to take a ride in the back of a Colorado Springs police car after he was found with his head stuck in an empty protein powder bottle.

At around 5 A.M. Tuesday morning, officers spotted the cub on the side of the road at North 14th and West Kiowa streets. They pulled over and tried to remove the protein powder container from the bear’s head, but were unsuccessful.

The men then coaxed the bear into the back of their squad car and drove her to nearby Fire Station 3. A wildlife ranger sedated the cub at the station and firefighters quickly removed the bottle from her head.
