Actor Chris Pratt took to Twitter this Labor Day weekend to remember his father and offer some great advice for parents.
Chris Pratt is one of the few Hollywood celebrities who is appreciated and supported by the larger community of outdoor sportsmen and women. His unabashed embrace of what are often referred to as “traditional values” has endeared him to fans.
The other day Pratt made the following simple twitter post:
Your to do list:
3)teach them to fish
He capped it off with the words, “Thanks Dad. Miss you man” and a photo of a very young Pratt and his brother Cully posing with their father Dan Pratt. The two boys are smiling and holding fishing poles.
Pratt’s father, Daniel Clifton Pratt, passed away only last year after decades battling with multiple sclerosis (MS).
This bare-bones tweet from Pratt highlights why he’s a man that many people can relate to. It’s not necessarily a polished or finely crafted message. It is, however, an unpretentious, humble and heartfelt statement from a son who loves and misses his father, and wishes he could go fishing with him again.
