Stanley Cup Champion catches and releases a massive untagged sturgeon in British Columbia.
Duncan Keith is known for being one of the NHL’s most dominant defenseman. His resume includes three Stanley Cups, two Olympic gold medals, two-time Norris Trophy recipient and he’s the reigning Conn Smythe trophy holder for the NHL’s most valuable player.
Oh, and as if that’s not enough, he also scored the winning goal for his team in this year’s Stanley Cup Final.
So after a long, grueling season on the ice that culminated into a championship, what can one do to top the excitement of that? Why go fishing for huge, prehistoric sturgeon of course!
And check out the monster Keith caught!

Keith caught the massive fish while fishing with Sturgeon Slayers guide service out of British Columbia, Keith’s native province. Fox Sports reports the fish was tagged and released as a part of the Adopt a Sturgeon program.
Awesome catch Keith! Enjoy the rest of your vacation, you certainly earned it with the season you had!
