At less than one centimeter thick, the Wingman by Hyde Sportswear is a revolutionary life jacket.
Bulky life jackets often end up at the bottom of the boat rather than on the body, and that is a bad thing for water safety.
Hyde Sportswear wants to solve that problem with the Wingman, which they promise will be a life jacket you will actually want to wear.
The Wingman is powered by a 23-gram CO2 cartridge and triggered by a manual ripcord. It also includes a backup oral inflation/deflation valve.
Weighing just 1.5 pounds, The Wingman is designed to be “one size fits all,” from 30 to 52 inches.
Other features include a modular pack system, hydration sleeve, and a tapered profile. The Wingman was the recipient of the ISPO 2015/16 Best Action Sports Safety Product Award.
If you don’t like to wear conventional life jackets, check out Hyde Sportswear’s Kickstarter page and be one of the first to own this innovative product.
