What is the story on this Korean 1911 Pistol clone?

The 1911 U.S. service pistol is well known and even mimicked across the globe. This ultra-rare 1911 pistol clone was actually made in Korea during the Korean War era.

Made at the Pusan Iron Works, this 1911-style pistol looks like just about any other 1911 .45 acp. pistol. What is different, though, is the finish. It is quite a bit rougher in form than any regular factory-manufactured weapon. What this weapon stands for is human ingenuity in times of war with minimal equipment.

Ian from Forgotten Weapons examines the Korean Pusan Iron Works 1911 Pistol clone in great detail. This truly is one very unique relic, with a forgotten story or two.
