Grant Thompson has built quite a following on his YouTube page by making videos of random things that really seem to be handy in a pinch. For example, you’re camping, and you break the tensioner on the side of your tent. What do you do? You have a floppy side of your tent, that’s what you do!
That is, unless you watched this video first and saw how easy it is to make a homemade tensioner out of a pop tab.
Yeah, I didn’t think it would have been that easy, either. However, apparently it is. I’ve found myself in this bind several times in the past, and the floppy-tent path is usually the one I’ve walked. Thankfully, that may not be the case anymore.
What’s more, this camping hack works even if you don’t have a soda tab. As a matter of fact, there are many other things out there that don’t contain soda and have the same kind of tabs, if you know what I’m saying.
