California Mountain Lion Performs Incredible Balancing Act 35-Feet Up [PICS]

This mountain lion definitely had a better view than any of its buddies. And all from atop a 35-foot power pole connected with high voltage wires!

Drivers certainly received an eyeful in the Lucerne Valley this past Tuesday, as much to their surprise, a mountain lion was perched 35-feet up a power pole at the side of the road.

The big cat retreated up the pole during the afternoon hours of September 29, after a resident reported children coming home from school – and yelling with excitement – caused its quick-thinking escape.

Coincidentally, this balancing act took place just two miles south of “Cougar Buttes” on East End Road.

California Department of Fish and Wildlife officers positioned themselves several hundred yards away in order to warn the public not to stop.

The mountain lion climbed back down the pole sometime during Tuesday night.

Talk about an incredible sight to see! Luckily, it didn’t end with a sizzling shock!
