B.A.S.S. and Busch beer, who will be the title sponsor for Bassmaster Elite at Cayuga Lake event June 23-26 out of Union Springs, N.Y. announce tourney partnership.
Union Springs, NY will be the focal point of bass fishing’s top 107 professional bass anglers and their equipment during the Cayuga Lake Elite Event June 23-26, 2016. The top prize this time around: a whopping $100,000 and bragging rights over one of the country’s top bass fisheries!
Busch beer has signed on to sponsor the event and all signs indicate that it will be a great one. Busch is offering its “Catch One. Win Big,” promotion which features some 100,000 gold trophy cans hidden inside packs of Busch and Busch light beer.
Fishing and beer enthusiasts alike can find these randomly hidden cans, take a photo or selfie of themselves, and submit it online at Busch.com to become eligible to win weekly prizes such as GoPros, sonar systems, tackle boxes, fishing bobbers, and the best one of them all: five lucky fans will be awarded the grand prize: the fishing trip of a lifetime to one of four possible destinations to go fishing with professional bass fisherman, Kevin VanDam!
With Busch launching their 2016 fishing platform in May with NASCAR driver Kevin Harvick piloting a special-edition No. 4 Chevy SS during the GEICO 500 race at Talladega, the race was on and now fans can join in.
B.A.S.S. CEO Bruce Akin said, “B.A.S.S. is excited to have Busch join our sponsorship team. The Busch brand has always had close association with the great outdoors and we’re pleased the company is demonstrating that by joining us at the Cayuga Lake Elite Series event.”
Fans can start by looking for the familiar 18-, 24-, and 30-packs that will hide the gold trophy cans.
Still the most important thing is the tournament on famed Cayuga Lake. At 40 miles long, Cayuga is the longest of New York’s Finger Lakes, but only the second deepest to its neighbor Seneca Lake. Predictions are that there will be some 20-pound bags in the tourney and more than one big fish of at least 7-pounds or more.
While the pros fishing this famous central NY lake can expect to fill their creels with both small and largemouth bass, spectators can have as much fun watching the leader board while enjoying a Busch or Busch light.
