Things get a little crazy when a bobcat hitches a ride through town in some guy’s Mazda sedan.
An Arizona couple on their way to dinner one night in Scottsdale knew that they had hit a small animal, but when they got to their destination, they found something that they couldn’t believe.
This is what it looks like to have a bobcat locked up in jail inside of your car grill.
On a Friday night in early January, 2015 a couple driving on Camelback Road in Scottsdale, Arizona watched in horror as a small animal ran in front of their car. Knowing that they had hit it at approximately 40 mph, they were certain that what appeared to be a cat had died.
Upon arriving at the restaurant, they were shocked to find a young bobcat, stuck in-between the grill and the radiator, alive! The wild cat had flown through the plastic part of the grill which had lessened the impact enabling the bobcat to survive.
Game and fish officials were able to remove the bobcat only after tranquilizing it for safety, and ultimately free it back into the wild after a few days of observation at a local animal shelter.
Maybe he was just trying to get to the other side of town, but the amazing chain of events that need to happen for a bobcat to hitch a ride in the grill of your car are a bit unbelievable.
