You’re about to see one of nature’s oldest predator prey relationships: wolves vs. bison.
This clip is from nature program North America, which aired last year on the Discovery Channel.
A bison and her calf have been separated from their herd by three cunning wolves. The mother desperately tries to protect her calf, from the wolves, but they’re outnumbered, and their relentless attackers are thirsty for blood.
To tip the scales, the calf must join the fight, otherwise it will be eaten alive. Watch the decisive moment unfold in this incredible footage.
For thousands of years, wolves have hunted bison on the plains of North America. Today, their ancient interaction continues in Wyoming’s Yellowstone National Park and Wood Buffalo National Park in Canada.
