Luther Cifers and Joe Pulliam catch nice sized tarpon out of kayaks in Puerto Rico.
Recently Luther Cifers from YakAttack and world renowned kayak designer Joe Pulliam took a trip down to Puerto Rico to go after tarpon. Learn a little more about them as you watch them hook into and bring in some very nice fish from the very kayaks they help create.
Now more than ever people are purchasing kayaks and canoes to use for fishing. They are small, lightweight, and capable of going numerous places that a large bass boat cannot. They can also be used to catch not only smaller fish, but ones as large as tarpon, or even bigger.
I think everyone who fishes, whether it’s in the ocean or at a local lake, should try kayak fishing. They are extremely versatile and let you go into places that are to shallow for boats or to thick with brush to walk into with gear.
Thy are also a great way just to get out on the water and relax if you aren’t fishing for the day. There is nothing more peaceful than floating down the river checking out the scenery and wildlife.
