Hey lava sauce fans…Your dreams have just come true!
If you are one of the millions of Americans desperate for Taco Bell Lava Sauce since they removed this highly addictive condiment off the menu just over a year ago, then you are in luck. I have cracked the recipe code and found an incredibly easy homemade calculation for Taco Bell Lava Sauce that will bring back all those precious memories of burritos and tacos smothered in this highly addictive sauce.
Coming across this recipe was no small affair. Mountains were climbed and valleys were searched. Dumpsters in sketchy back alleys were picked clean looking for any hint of the ingredients that all had to come together to create the glorious concoction we have all come to know and love.
Until the day Taco Bell decides to bring this option back to the menu, folks, this will satisfy your craving. Enjoy!
Homemade Taco Bell Lava Sauce
1 cup of jarred cheese sauce/dip
1 Teaspoon smoked paprika
2 Teaspoons cayenne pepper
1 Teaspoon Cumin
1/2 Teaspoon Sugar
1/2 Teaspoon Garlic Powder
1/2 Teaspoon Onion Powder
1 Tablespoon Water
Yep. Treat those ingredients like gold. We have found those ingredients works best, but feel free to adjust the amount of cayenne pepper for more or less heat. Also, be sure to use smoked paprika instead of just regular paprika. The smoked paprika is what gives the homemade lava sauce that smokey flavor that can be so addictive.
To get this recipe started, simply combine all those ingredients in a bowl and whisk them together until blended. Pretty easy right?
From there, make about 100 gallons more and freeze it for when you need it most. If you are like me, you will add this to all of your favorite meals, including wild game meals like duck breast. The actual Taco Bell lava sauce recipe is mayo-based, however, the taste of this version is pretty darn close.
