Mountain scenery, great looking water, two-handed fly casting, and a few nice steelhead all captured by a drone.
Drone videos are really taking off. Guides and lodges are using them to show off their waters, fish, and services. With the aerial view and flowing movement, drone videos can be really impressive.
Drone-based video is only going to grow in popularity. The guys who posted this one are looking forward to the better light of spring and summer to post more.
With drones selling for less than $500 and small video cameras for less than that, I’m betting we’ll see amateur anglers posting their own aerial videos regularly this summer. Some will no doubt be very impressive. But I fully expect to see a drone blooper video soon.
In the meantime, enjoy this well-made one from the West Yellowstone Fly Shop. If they get better this summer, I can’t wait to see more.
