Residents of some Southern California communities have had some strange guests lately.
It was a normal evening for residents of Pasadena on Monday, May 23. That is until an unexpected visitor came strolling into town. Around 7:30 PM residents began reporting that a bear was actively strolling around the area.
Pulling a card right from the playbook of Goldilocks herself, the bear made itself comfortable cruising down sidewalks, driveways, and even into residential backyards. Reports of the bear near the Eaton Canyon Park Golf Course drew attention from local news crews.
According to the LA Times article, Pasadena Police and the California Department of Fish and Wildlife are coordinating to locate the animal.
Less than two weeks ago, officials also noticed a black bear near a school in Rancho Cucamonga, another southern California community. The siting prompted the school to go on lockdown until the animal could be tranquilized and relocated. No injuries were reported in either instance.
