Magnificent Drone Video of a Bear Swimming in Upper Klamath Lake

bear swimming

A bear swimming across Upper Klamath Lake near Klamath Falls, Oregon, was captured on video by a sharp-eyed drone pilot.

Bears don’t mind swimming one bit, and this is proof. Black bears and even grizzlies are no strangers to the water, and they sometimes decide that the grass is greener on the other side of the lake.

This one was spotted swimming across a serene Upper Klamath Lake on a calm day that made the video all the more impressive. Sit back and enjoy some peace for a few minutes.

Wait until you see how far out in the lake that big bruin is when it’s first spotted! Here’s the footage:

YouTuber Gerald Holt captured the UAS footage over the lake after his friend Scott Ross pointed out the bear.

It’s good to see a large bruin have the wherewithal to make it across such an expanse of water without a hitch. He even seemed to look both ways before he crossed the water!

Great job filming the big bear by keeping the drone at a distance. There’s one bear that will probably not think twice before taking a swim again.
