A Jasper, Texas man made waves of kindness in a Texas bass fishing tournament.
Last weekend in Jasper, Texas, Fred Tillman McMahon won the Big Bass Splash, a weekend long bass fishing tournament held on Lake Sam Rayburn. His grand prize was a new bass fishing boat, and he shocked the ground when he decided to give the boat to another contestant in the tournament.
McMahon learned that Albert Jenkins fished the entire three-day tournament from a dock, instead of being in boats like the other competitors.
“I thought I would never do this, but I won the boat at the McDonald’s Big Bass Tournament and then gave it away to a man that did not have a boat and he fished three days off the dock. I feel blessed,” he said in a KJAS news article.
As expected, the crowd stood and cheered when McMahon made the announcement. Talk about some camaraderie!
