Ever wanted to see a bald eagle feeding frenzy? These eagles discovered a school of herring near the surface of the water, and proceeded to have a feast.

Due to plentiful food and excellent habitat, Alaska is home to more bald eagles than any other state. While it is not exactly a common occurance, it is possible to see incredible sights like this bald eagle feeding frenzy when visiting the state.

A school of Pacific herring was caught near the surface of the water, possibly to escape predators from below, making them a prime target for these airborne predators.

It did not take long for a number of eagles to discover that there was an easy meal available, and this bald eagle feeding frenzy quickly ensued.

This video was filmed off the coast of Chichagof Island in southeast Alaska, which is home to one of the largest populations of brown bear anywhere in the world. The waters surrounding the island contain a wealth of fish, which is great for both the bear and eagle populations.
