Bagged a Turkey? Here’s a Recipe for Wild Turkey Poppers You’ll Love

Wild turkey poppers definitely kick traditional turkey recipes up a notch.

So you just bagged your spring turkey and now you have to figure out a way to cook it. Sounds like an age old kitchen quandary many an outdoorsman faces every spring. When it comes to a wild turkey, often times deep frying, baking, or braising is how it is done.

This spring, take it to the next level and use your freshly harvested game meat and turn it into these amazing looking wild turkey poppers.

Here’s the recipe straight from the Hunting Page

What do you think? Will wild turkey poppers make their way into your kitchen this spring? If you are like me, it’s already a forgone conclusion. Unfortunately my wife doesn’t like jalapeños because she thinks they are just too hot for her tastes buds. However, substituting a pepper out for a tomato or small bell pepper could work as well.

Depending on where you live, there’s still plenty of turkey season to get out there and get your bird. If you’ve already ran out of time or you don’t have anywhere to hunt them, don’t worry.

I hear turkeys are awfully easy to find at the grocery store.
