No doubt fishermen enjoy catching fish in their backyard, but in Australia one young man takes backyard fishing to the next level by catching sharks.
Australian residents are certainly accustomed to seeing sharks in the waters along the coast, however Jackson Shaw is making a habit of catching bull sharks in his backyard.
Recently, scientist Jonathan Werry caught up with him in order to continue the study of the sharks behavior patterns.
The ultimate goal of this project is to be able to predict when and where the bull shark might attack near public beaches.
Until those predictions are perfected, the mysteries of bull sharks and their relatives will continue to intrigue the world over. Or at least for those who live on beaches with a shark population like Brisbane.
