Wildlife biologists in Troy, New York responding to reports of a moose in an urban area have tranquilized the animal and taken it to a wildlife management area to be released.
The New York Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) Officers in conjunction with wildlife biologists captured a young moose in the town of Troy, New York.
The animal was found in backyards behind homes and fences.
DEC ECO’s then placed the moose into a container that would hold the animal until its release.
With a constable on guard.
The moose was unharmed in the incident, but to protect the young animal it was deemed necessary to tranquilize it for public safety reasons.
It is unknown at this time where the moose was taken for release.
