A waterfall in New Zealand provides the perfect backdrop for this playful pod of baby seals.
Kaikoura, on the South Island of New Zealand, is home to the Ohau Point Seal Colony.
Each winter, the baby seals swim the river to the waterfall and spend several days frolicking in the calm waters.
Here’s your daily dose of cute. You’re welcome.
Since they don’t need to feed every day, these young seals can spend an entire day by themselves in the safety of this secluded spot. The adults are then free to swim the ocean and search for food.
Watching these baby seals play is like petting your dog or cat. It just calms you down and makes you feel a little better.
Hopefully, this sanctuary is as protected by people as these little seals are by their parents.
