Florida Bull Shark Fishing Will Have You Amped for Vacation

You don’t always have to be out on the water to catch sharks.

The anglers in the following video set out baits from the beach for bull sharks, and came up with quite a catch.

Warning: NSFW language.

It was quite a fight when the bull shark is finally hooked. The angler fought the first shark for 10 minutes, but it threw the hook.

The second put up a 30-minute fight in worsening conditions, crossing a jetty and forcing the anglers to scramble over rocks.

For gear, the anglers used a Penn International V rated 50-100 pounds rod with a Penn Squall 50vsw reel. The line was 100-pound braid, 100-pound mono with a leader of 5000pound mono crimped to 500l-pound cable, and a 16/0 circle hook.

The bait first used was filleted Spanish mackerel, but the huge bull shark caught on the video went for the larger grouper carcass.
