Arizona Game and Fish Department officials are currently looking for a deer poacher.

Authorities in Arizona are seeking a deer poacher who allegedly illegally shot and killed a whitetail buck south of Tucson.

The incident was believed to have occurred on Oct. 25 and remains of the deer were found at the southern end of the Cerro Colorados Mountains off of Arivaca Road.

Raul Vega of the Game and Fish office in Tucson, told reporters about the deer poacher case; “Poachers are not hunters. They are thieves who steal wildlife from the citizens of Arizona.”

A deer poacher convicted in Arizona could face up to six months in jail and a $750 fine for each count and have their hunting license revoked.
