Justin Hoffman

New homework requirement is now part of curriculum for those applying for New York state Hunting or Trapping Licenses.

Looking to apply for a New York state hunting or trapping license? If so, be prepared to do some homework first. In what has been standard over the years, any would-be hunter looking to attain a license was required to attend a free safety training course.

Beginning this year, students must now review course materials and complete a homework sheet before attending any of the classroom or field lessons.

This new stipulation was imposed in order for students to be better prepared for the training course.

The homework portion of the course can be completed in three hours.
