Anglers in Ontario spotted a moose struggling to swim and they took action.
Some fishermen on Rainy Lake in Northwestern Ontario (near Fort Frances) spotted a moose calf in trouble. After lassoing the moose and towing it to an island shore, they stayed with it to make sure it was alright.
Visibly shaking and in distress, the moose gets back into the water after the anglers try to scare it into the woods.
In a later interview the anglers said the moose appeared stuck on some thing in the water and it was swimming in a circle for a least 40 minutes.
The moose also appeared to have long slashes in its sides like it had been attacked by a bear.
