Back in the American Civil War, the Confederacy had a very frightening lethal hand-held weapon.
This hand-held weapon was called the LeMat revolver.
This powerful revolver also incredibly had a shotgun barrel too.
The LeMat revolver of the American Civil War was a fearsome weapon that struck terror into the hearts of Union soldiers.
This revolver held an incredible nine shots with a large .42 caliber. What was even more frightening was that it also held a 20 gauge barrel underneath. This was loaded with buckshot that the Confederates called “blue whistlers.”
Many variations of the revolver had been made during the Civil War and afterwards. There are also carbine versions like the one in the video.
In the age of black powder, these were the true assault weapons of the day. Even in this modern day, these weapons would still serve their intended purpose quite well.
