An Alligator Tries to Ring the Doorbell on a South Carolina House

It’s hard being a gator. People just love to hate you and sometimes you need love, this big guy trying to break into a house.

The neighbors of the house in question noticed something odd going on across the street when they looked out their window. An alligator was climbing up their neighbor’s door, trying to ring the doorbell.

Danielle Barkley, who posted the video to Facebook, said it kept trying to climb the door and look into the windows of the home. Watch it below.

UPI also reported that another neighbor, Gary Rogers, noted that “the gator crossed two yards before climbing onto the home’s front porch, which wasn’t the end of its adventure in the neighborhood.”

The alligator wasn’t acting aggressively and was calmly looking for a way out of the neighborhood. While no one was home at the time, Rogers also believes that the gator was trying to climb the fence of the house to make a great escape to the pool in the backyard. Can you imagine the surprise that would have been?
