Airdrop Fail: What a Humvee Looks Like When It Hits the Ground From Several Thousand Feet

The 173rd Airborne Brigade was performing an airdrop exercise when three of their Humvees got away.

It wasn’t cool enough that the U.S. Army Airborne Brigade was dropping massive loads of material, and you can see it all on film, but three of their Humvees just got loose and fell to their deaths!

Check out how an amazing airdrop of equipment turned into a funeral procession… for three vehicles.

Warning: graphic language in the video

I hope whoever was rigging those vehicles has changed his address.

Watching a video like this is a reminder that if you’ve got to make a mistake do it during training. As cool and crazy as it is, it was even funnier listening to the commentary by whoever those dudes were that filmed it.

Was I the only one that laughed when one guy said, “Hey, do we need to call that up?” Unfortunately nobody’s laughing now that the Army is investigating.
