After Recent Yellowstone Bison Incident, This Old Clip Resurfaced [VIDEO]

In light of the recent Yellowstone bison goring, here’s how bad it could have been.

Reports out of Yellowstone told the story of an exchange student that got gored by a bison over the weekend, and brought to memory past incidents that were captured on camera.

This video, which is undated but was uploaded to YouTube by YellowstoneNPS in 2012, shows just how serious these encounters can be. Let it be a lesson: leave room between you and wildlife at all times.

The unfortunate man was flung skyward with a single swing of that bison’s head, and the fact that he was able to get up under his own power is incredible.

As stated in the video’s description, national park services recommend staying at least 25 yards away from bison and other wildlife, and keep 100 yards between yourself and bears. Those regulations are in pace for a reason, and no photo or video capture is worth risking your health and well-being.
