Adidas Made These Shoes out of Illegal Fishing Nets [PICS]

As part of a collaboration with Parley for the Oceans, adidas created shoes out of illegal fishing nets.

The famed brand adidas, in partnership with Parley for the Oceans, got their point across as best they can: by debuting an awesome new shoe with an important message.

It’s only a concept, but the shoe has the world’s first upper “made entirely of yarns and filaments reclaimed and recycled from ocean waste and illegal deep-sea gillnets,” according to the official adidas release.

Parley for the Oceans is a collective organization raising awareness about the state of our planet’s oceans, with strong emphasis on action-based plans and projects.
