Lehigh Defense Xtreme Penetrator rounds are pretty wicked. Watch them go up against a sheet of bulletproof glass in 9mm.
22Plinkster and Tim from the Military Arms Channel engage in some more redneck science by testing what a 9mm Xtreme Penetrator can do against bulletproof glass.
The bulletproof glass in question is the same sheet that 22Plinkster has been using in his recent tests. It’s an inch-and-a-quarter thick and tough as nails. Of all the guns and rounds he’s shot at it, only three have been able to break through thus far.
As for the Lehigh Defense Xtreme Penetrator round, Plinkster simply says, “It penetrates a ton!”
Let’s see what happens.
The two 9mm the guys are shooting also serve as a test of the efficacy of different barrel lengths.
The first pistol is an MC-28 9mm with a 5-inch barrel. The second, a Mini Uzi Carbine with a 19.8-inch barrel.
The shooters reckon that the longer barreled Mini Uzi should produce around 200 fps more than the MC-28.
Well, barrel length apparently made no difference in the ability of a 9mm Xtreme Penetrator round to go through bulletproof glass. Neither bullet was able to beat the glass.
Those Xtreme Penetrators are some tough bullets, but in 9mm it looks like bulletproof glass is still tougher.
