99-Year-Old Florida Woman Wakes to a Kinkajou Napping on Her Chest

A kinkajou napping on a 99-year-old woman’s chest is the latest crazy story to come out of Florida.

Of all the things you’d see in a 99-year long life, an exotic animal sleeping on your chest as you wake isn’t one of them.

And yet that’s what one Miami-Dade woman experienced when a kinkajou, a tree-dwelling mammal about the size of a housecat native to Central and South America, woke her earlier this week.

Talk about the scare of your long life! Does it get much weirder than that? Well, if you live in Florida, it just might.

The big question was: where the heck did this kinkajou come from? Word got around and apparently it was owned as a pet and escaped from its South Florida residence. The owner was said to be en route to pick the animal up.

Here’s hoping the proper permits were obtained by this exotic pet owner, and that they keep better track of their kinkajou from now on.
