Holocaust Survivor Climbed Mount Rainier at 77, Hopes to Do it Again at 90 [VIDEO]

Outdoor Research’s “Lady of the Mountain” bio on the incredible Bronka Sundstrom is inspiring. It will make you miss your grandparents and want to go climb peaks.

Bronka Sundstrom is an 89-year-old Swedish woman who was rescued from a concentration camp in 1949 and escaped to America.

She and her husband made their new home in Tacoma, Washington and Bronka has found peace in her life through hiking mountains.

Outdoor Research, an outdoor gear company, created this short biography on Bronka and it is nothing short of inspiring.

If that didn’t make you feel anything then you are probably made of stone.

Bronka climbed and summited Mt. Rainier when she was 75 years old, being the oldest woman to ever climb the peak. She hopes to try again this year when she will be 90 years old.

Bronka’s life has been riddled with negativity but she survived, and keeps surviving, thanks to the mountains.
