600-Yard Shooting with a .22 Rifle? That’s Pretty Dang Far… [VIDEO]

Ever wonder how far a .22 can actually hit a target? Try 600 yards as these guys did.

Why the warning of “dangerous within 1 1/2 miles” on a .22 long rifle cartridge box? This video shows us why!

The shooter, using a Anschutz 1913 Super Match Target Rifle with a Leupold 6.5-20 power 40mm lens scope and fueled by Eley EPS 1080 fps 40-grain match-grade ammunition, hits a three-foot square target at a distance many would think unacheivable.

Bullet drop at 600 yards is an estimated 888, inches so that little bullet takes a dive at that distance but still has enough power to make an audible ping on the metal target. The shots are amazing to have struck that target at 600 yards, while many repute the .22 long rifle cartridge as an inside 100-yard cartridge.
