6 Campfire Cookout Concoctions You’ll Crave [PICS]

Has everyone had just about enough hot dogs and burgers on the grill? Try out these cool campfire recipes…simple and delicious!

Sometimes recipes over a grill can get stale.

Mix it up and try these different recipes you can cook over a fire. They’re collected from various recipes I’ve picked up over the years, with my own adaptations when I saw the change to get creative!

Dorito Delight in a Bag

What you need:

  • 1 Dorito chips bag for each camper
  • Ground beef (1/4 cup per bag)
  • Refried beans (1/4 cup per bag)
  • Shredded Cheddar Cheese
  • Salsa

What to do:

  1. Brown ground beef
  2. Warm beans
  3. Open Doritos bag
  4. Spoon in beef, beans, salsa, and cheese
  5. Close bag and shake to mix
  6. YUM!

Campfire Donuts

What you need:

  • Can of refrigerated biscuits
  • Cinnamon
  • Granulated sugar
  • Powdered sugar

What to do:

  1. Heat oil
  2. Make holes in dough
  3. Place in hot oil
  4. Cook till golden brown
  5. Remove and cool on paper towel
  6. Sprinkle on your favorite sweetness

Chili Blaze

What you need:

  • 2 cans of baked beans
  • 1 can of corned beef
  • Cheddar cheese
  • Chili sauce
  • 1 can of hot dogs or sausages

What to do:

  1. Put beans into pan
  2. Cut hot dogs or sausages pieces
  3. Cut corned beef into cubes
  4. Add all meat to the beans
  5. Stir in chili sauce
  6. Simmer for several minutes
  7. Stir consistently
  8. Add cheese

Chicken Pockets

What you need:

  • Chicken breasts
  • Canned potatoes
  • Mini carrots
  • Cherry tomatoes
  • Half ears of corn
  • Canned mushrooms
  • Sliced onions
  • Bell peppers
  • Garlic powder, Parmesan cheese
  • Butter

What to do:

  1. Lay out enough strips of aluminum foil (you need one for each serving)
  2. Put butter and garlic on the foil
  3. Put chicken on top
  4. Put veggies around chicken
  5. Sprinkle the rest of the ingredients around the chicken, close, and grill for 45 minutes to an hour until chicken is done

Cowboy Quiche

What you need:

  • 8 eggs
  • 2 cups shredded cheese
  • 1 pack bacon
  • 1 pack hash browns
  • 1 pack breakfast links
  • 1 onion
  • 1 green pepper

What to do:

  1. Add bacon, sausage, onion, and pepper
  2. Stir often
  3. Caramelize onions
  4. Brown sausage
  5. Add hashbrowns
  6. Beat eggs and add to mixture
  7. Add cheese

Peanut Butter and Jelly S’mores

What you need:

  • Graham Crackers
  • Hershey’s Bars
  • Peanut butter
  • Jelly
  • Marshmallows

What to do:

  1. Spread peanut butter on half of the graham crackers
  2. Spread jelly on the other half
  3. Put chocolate on top of the jelly side
  4. Put toasted marshmallows
  5. Chow!
