Just in time for fall hunting season, check out these mouth-watering recipes perfect for your crock pot.

Crockpot Venison Stew

What you need:

  • 2 C red or gold potatoes, cubed and peeled
  • 2 C cut mushrooms
  • 1 C each: chopped onion, celery, carrot
  • 1/3 cup tomato paste
  • 1 TSP each: oregano, sugar, thyme, rosemary, black pepper, salt
  • 2 cloves minced garlic
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1/4 C flour
  • 1 lb cubed venison tenderloin
  • Canola oil
  • 1 C brown ale
  • 1 can beef broth

What to do: 

  1. Layer potatoes, mushrooms, veggies, tomato paste, spices in the crockpot
  2. Mix flour, salt, pepper in a bowl
  3. Combine venison into flour mix
  4. Preheat oil in skillet (MH heat) and add venison
  5. Cook four mins til brown on both sides
  6. Put venison in crockpot, add beer and broth and cook on low 6-8 hours till tender

Venison Taco Stew

What you need:

  • 1 lb venison (ground)
  • 12 oz tomato juice
  • 12 oz kidney beans
  • 1 C corn
  • 1 packet taco season

What to do:

  1. Brown, drain venison
  2. Combine ingredients into crockpot
  3. Cook 5 hours on high or 7 hours on low
  4. Eat with Fritos and shredded cheese

Bacon & Venison Slow Cook Stew

What you need: 

  • .5 pounds of venison (ground
  • .5 pounds of diced ham
  • .5 pounds of crispy bacon, chopped
  • 30 ounces of pinto beans
  • 1 package of frozen vegetables (mixed)
  • 1 chopped onion
  • 1 can of beef broth
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper

What to do:

  1. Combine all ingredients in crockpot
  2. Cook on high five hours or low for 8 hours
  3. Eat!!!

Beefy Bean BBQ Venison

What you need:

  • 2 pounds venison (ground)
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1/4 C catsup
  • 1 chopped onion
  • 1/4 C molasses
  • 1/4 C brown sugar
  • 12 ounces garbonzo beans
  • 12 ounces kidney beans
  • 24 ounces baked beans
  • 16 ounces pinto beans

What to do:

  1. Brown venison, add onion and garlic, saute
  2. Add all ingredients to crockpot
  3. Cook 8 hours on low or 6 hours on high

Barbeque Venison Spaghetti & Meatballs

What you need:

  • 2 pounds venison (ground)
  • 2 pounds sausage (ground)
  • 2 large eggs
  • Crushed crackers (saltines or Ritz)
  • 24 ounces of BBQ sauce
  • 1 C Italian dressing
  • 1 C maple syrup
  • 3 C apple cider
  • 2 TBSP Italian Seasoning
  • 1 TBSP garlic powder
  • Orange (juiced)
  • Lemon (juiced)
  • Tabasco

What to do:

  1. Fashion the meatballs out of meat, eggs, and crackers
  2. Skillet fry
  3. Pour BBQ sauce in bowl
  4. Add the remaining ingredients
  5. Marinate meatballs in mixture overnight
  6. Put all ingredients into the crockpot
  7. Low heat for 3 hours
  8. Serve over your favorite noodles
