It seems every time an oarfish washes ashore, it makes the news…and for good reason.
Another oarfish has washed ashore, this time off the coast of Vietnam.
According to the report, the fish was still alive when locals found it, but they were unable to get it back to the water before it died. The people that found the fish eventually buried it, according to their customs, when it comes to dealing with such a culturally sacred creature.
In a recent news, it has been reported that oarfish sightings often tend to coincide with heavy earthquake activity. After the recent events in Nepal, perhaps there is something to it?
