The long-awaited Alumacraft 2016 Competitor has finally hit the dance floor, and it is a fishing battleship!
Every angler’s dream boat just got upgraded. The new Alumacraft Competitor 205 Tiller is a draft horse of a boat.
Aaron Wiebe from Unut Angling gives a fast paced though detailed walk-through of the newly released boat.
“This thing’s got ‘best in class’ livewell size, fuel tank size, rod length storage, hull thickness, beam width,” Wiebe rattles off. “Look at this thing. It’s a beast!”
At 20.5 feet in length and an 8-foot beam, he’s not kidding.
The boat is loaded with tons of cool features, like an adjustable driver’s seat, numerous lockable storage compartments, fold away electronics platforms, a 45 gallon fuel tank capacity, 55 total livewell gallons (33 gallons aft, 22 gallons in the bow), and enough low profile storage to store a pro-shop worth of gear.
The fishing platform is mighty impressive too, with acres of walk-around space.
I have to admit, I watched this video four times in a row – Wiebe is a fast talker – just because I enjoyed the vision of fishing from this boat and having to acquire even more fishing gear to fill all of those storage bins.
Did I mention that it has a lot of storage room?
“This is the one that everyone has been waiting for,” Wiebe concludes. “It’s here!”
