200-Yard Civil War Sniper Challenge Recreated

Cap and Ball sets out to duplicate a Civil War challenge from centuries ago.

Able-bodied men were called to shoot 200 yards with great accuracy.

Watch as this shooter makes the cut with this long distance muzzleloader shooting.

Cap and Ball is armed with one very nice Civil War era reproduction target rifle. Made by R. M. Wilder of Coldwater, Michigan this rifle is certainly a shooter.

This percussion rifle and shooter was pitted against an old challenge and call to arms during the Civil War. Accurate shots then were even more of a necessity due to the slow loading of muzzleloading weapons.
