Two men who are clearly opponents in gun control laws make nice in the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge.
Mark Kelly is an outspoken gun control advocate. Wayne LaPierre is the executive vice president of the NRA.
Naturally, the two don’t agree on much when it comes to firearms in the United States. All the same, they’ve essentially teamed up for a fantastic cause, putting their differences aside if just for a moment.
Kelly took the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge last week, and nominated LaPierre in the process. Shortly after, LaPierre accepted the challenge.
Here’s Kelly, with his wife Gabby Giffords, who was wounded in a shooting in Tucson, Arizona in 2011. The video was uploaded by Americans for Responsible Solutions.
And here is the accepted challenge by LaPierre, posted by the NRA‘s YouTube channel.
