16-Foot Anaconda Rescued In Columbia After Being Shot By Fishermen [VIDEO]

This huge 16-foot anaconda got the rescue treatment from some mindful Columbians.

In the outdoor world we see our share of wildlife rescues, including deer, moose, whales and even pelicans. This one gets extra points for uniqueness.

Watch the dicey circumstances as a 16-foot python is discovered tangled in bushes, with a particularly interesting wound.

The locals speculated that the bullet wound came from a fisherman, who likely didn’t want to competition for game fish. Large snakes are not unlike other predators; there’s often a delicate relationship between them an the humans who also hunt or fish for their prey. Coexistence is key, something these Columbians seem to have down pretty well.

That being said, I’m not sure I’d ever get that close to that large of an anaconda, good deed or not.
