If we had our pick, these are 12 pros we’d like to put a few rounds down range with.
Time on the gun range is always good, but if we were able to spend a little time with one of these 12 pros we could probably step up or shooting game tremendously.
Just hearing a little of their advice and tricks they’ve picked up over the years would likely make us much better shooters.
1. Julie Golob
The list of accreditations and accomplishments Golob has made in the shooting world is a mile long. Golob was the first person to win all six divisions at the USPSA Nationals competition. Basically, if there is a shooting competition out there, there’s a pretty good chance she’s won it.
2. Chris Cheng
Chris Cheng was the winner of Season 4 of Top Shot. The fact that he was able to outshoot and outlast the competition of that program shows us the he has the ability to overcome many different obstacles and is adept in shooting a wide variety of weapons.
3. Brian Enos
Brian Enos is a National Champion sport shooter and the author of the book Practical Shooting, Beyond Fundamentals, which is considered by some to be one of the best books ever written about how to be a better marksman.
4. Greg Kinman (Hickok45)
You might not have known his name is Greg Kinman, but if you haven’t heard of Hickok45 then you are probably on the wrong page. Hickok45’s YouTube channel has over 2-million subscribers and over half a billion views on his videos.
He has had the opportunity to shoot a lot of different guns and shoots them all quite well.
5. Brady Ellison
You don’t always have to be shooting guns at the range. Tag along with Brady Ellison, who’s won many different recurve shooting competitions and is currently on the US Olympic team to compete in the 2016 Olympics.
6. Jessie Duff
Jessie Duff is one of the most successful competitive shooters in the world and has the recognition of being the first female shooter to achieve a Grand Master rank in the United States Practical Shooting Association (USPSA).
Duff is a team captain for the Taurus shooting team and definitely has some knowledge to share at the range.
7. Rob Leatham
Rob Leatham is called “TGO” for a reason; he is “The Great One”. Leatham is a 24-Time USPSA National Champion and a 6-Time IPSC World Champion. It probably doesn’t even need to be said but he knows what he’s doing. And if you want to know what you are doing then time on the range with him is always a good idea.
8. Jerry Miculek
You will probably recognize Miculek almost instantly from his popular YouTube Channel. What you will learn very quickly by watching his videos is that he really knows how to shoot.
Miculek is the owner of 19 world records for shooting and one of very few people to be awarded a life achievement for shooting.
9. Eva Shockey
Eva Shockey is a big name in the hunting world, and a big part of the reason is because she can shoot. If you want to work on your shooting in preparation for hunting almost any species of game Shockey would be an amazing range partner.
10. Dmitri Potapoff
Dmitri Potapoff A.K.A. Kyle Myers is the crazy Russian know for his YouTube video channel FPSRussia. This guy is able to get his hands on some insane weapons that most of us don’t even know to dream about. And part of what get’s him on this list is that he is very competent at shooting all of them.
11. Eric Blandford (Iraqveteran8888)
Eric Blandford and all the guys from IraqVeteran8888 can shoot. They have a ton of knowledge and experience that only shooting in a military environment can bring. Getting to spend some range time with Blandford would be an honor and a privilege.
12. Dave Nash (22Plinkster)
Dave Nash A.K.A. 22Plinkster A.K.A. real name unknown is an outstanding shot with a .22 and always reminds us just how fun shooting one can be. You can’t possibly hit all those trick shots he does without having unbelievable accuracy and form, and of course a lot of practice.
