The new Minnesota state record cisco is bigger than a lot of bass!
Eleven-year-old Austin Stoll just might have caught the fish of a lifetime pretty early into his angling career. We don’t want to say he may never catch a bigger one, but anytime a person can hang the title of Minnesota State Record Holder next to their name, they are pretty lucky.
Stoll’s record cisco, also known as a tullibee, came in weighing 5 pounds, 13 ounces after being caught on March 9th, 2015. Even though this is just a flat out big fish, not to mention a cisco, it only beat the previous 13-year standing Minnesota state record cisco by only two ounces.
Surprisingly, Stoll’s father caught a cisco a few days after this one that just may have been even bigger. However, that fish was not certified, but both fish will be mounted together.
